Not only that, but I think the fact that Ginny chose to go to the Yule 
Ball with Neville suggests that she's not expecting any kind of glory 
from the person she's with.  I know that she isn't planning on 
marrying him, and I know that one of the reasons she went with him was 
because otherwise she wouldn't get to go at all, but she did go, and 
incurred ridicule for it, which would imply that the opposite is true, 
and that she's not interested in glory at all.
