Hi everyone,

This is my first day with this group, but I am already glad I joined after
reading all the great insights! My opinion about this is that there was
some sort of prophecy and we just don't know what it is yet. At the end of
Book 1, Harry asks Dumbledore why Voldemort wants him dead, and Dumbledore
replies that alas, he cannot answer that question. But that when Harry is
older he will learn the truth. So Dumbledore knows, but he is just keeping
his mouth shut for now.

Thanks,
Melissa
