Well, we don't know if Percy was the most amazing academically of his 
year, but we did hear that his grades were very good, and that his 
mother was irritated at the twins for not doing as well on their 
exams as he did. But it is probably a role model thing too. I hope we 
hear more about what James and Lily were actually like in personality 
in the next few books.
