Somewhere it says that PP was holding his wand behind his back. So
when he first confronted SB he was already holding it--he didn't need
to draw.
Sirius still should've been more alert. After all, he already knew
that PP was the traitor. But I put this down to Sirius's being
stunned with grief and guilt, not to Peter's skill as a wizard.
