Jessica, young thing, you are pretty much at the least interesting stage of
Official Literature Study right now--you have arrived at an age where you can
observe and conclude--i.e., actually think--but are not allowed to. You will find
two things as you continue your education: (1) instructors are increasingly
willing to let you think your own thoughts and express them (culminating in
graduate school, where you *have* to), and (2) loads more people fixated on
analyzing teeny details to maddening levels of minutiae.
