Thrilling, action packed INTRODUCTION!! Really!

Hello, all!

I joined the list a few days ago after seeing it mentioned at the Leaky
Cauldron website.  I am a champion lurker but I thought I'd like to
introduce myself now to avoid startling anyone later if I have something to
say.  My name's Janelle, I work at a bookstore (in the children's section),
and I'm almost 21 (is that sufficiently grown up?  I was a little concerned
due to the fact that I have no inner child--I'm all outer child).  I have a
crippling obsession with Hermione (a friend told me a while back that this
is because I want to BE Hermione).
And I must add that when I first heard Rickman was playing Snape, I said,
"NO!!"  Ever since seeing him as Colonel Brandon in Sense & Sensibility,
I've had a weakness for that man, and to see him as a
villain...*again*...becomes tiresome.  Now that I've seen the trailer, and
especially that one still shot, I have realized my mistake.  Snape isn't the
real villain (that would be Voldemort), and our perception of him changes so
much through the 4 books that Rickman will have a chance to be someone we
can cheer for (without guilt or labels of dodgy-sounding syndromes)!  It
seems to me that Snape has suffered a lot and Rickman can do suppressed pain
standing on his head.
Enough ranting.
