The Hogwarts Express runs more often than beginning and end of term. 
It certainly runs at the start and end of Christmas and Easter 
holiday breaks. There are comments here and there to suggest that it 
runs more often than that, as necessary, although this is not at all 
certain (for example, Harry imagines himself riding the train back to 
London when he thinks he's expelled for flying after the Rememberall, 
but he's so new to this all that he might simply not know how it
