Firebolt (on the tune of Honesty, by Billy Joel)

THE SCENE: sometimes after Christmas, Harry is worried about his new broom.

HARRY:
When you play¹n a Quidditch team
and Seeker is your role
you must surely fly with speed and might.
And when you find that your good broom
has been brought to smithereens,
all you want is something to fly on!

Firebolt, is such a lovely broom:
everyone is wanting one!
Firebolt, is hardly ever bought,
but mostly what I need to win!

See this present that I got,
back at Christmas time:
a brand new Firebolt with all its speed.
But they took it away from me
to check it was allright
and I found oh so hard to carry onŠ

Firebolt, is such a lovely broom:
everyone is wanting one!
Firebolt, is hardly ever bought,
but mostly what I need to win!

I could fly a Cleansweep,
or a Comet too.
I have flown a Nimbus, it
was my old broom.
Every broomstick takes you high
and lets you play the game:
I know, I know.

When I¹m high above the field,
looking for the Snitch,
I have all the Bludgers to avoid.
And when we need a lot of points
tell me what else can I fly:
a Firebolt, that I depend upon!

Firebolt, is such a lovely broom:
everyone is wanting one!
Firebolt, is hardly ever bought,
but mostly what I need to win!
