why/when did you start reading the books

I'd heard all the furor over the books--how they were getting 
children to read, how good they were (even how bad they were)--so, 
curious to find out for myself, I put my name on the reserve list at 
our library.  This was in 1999.  CoS was the first book I read, then 
SS, then PoA. Then I re-read them until I had to return them. I loved 
them--such good writing, I thought. Such a wonderful world...

Fast forward to last year.  After GoF came out, I bought it, then 
bought the other three books. Read GoF in one sitting, then re-read 
the others. Then re-read them all.  All in all, I think I've read the 
books something like 40 or 50 times over the past two years.  I even 
got my husband to read them.  He's not as obsessed as I am, but I'm 
working on it <g>.
