The only thing I've heard about this is that they shot the couple of
mentions of the ___________ Stone twice, since they committed
themselves to two titles. Dumb idea not to just call the
movie "Philosopher's Stone" everywhere, if you ask me, but they
didn't (WB just has NOT been returning my calls lately . . . and
after all our lunches!).

...and reported:

> sellers and such... the guard and one of the other workers chatted
> with me, and they said the filming was actually done at Platform 5
> (yes, I know you already know this... bear with me).

Did they say whether a lot of people come along and try to push
through the barrier?

I also picture something like a brick wall. I know that isn't what
it looks like at all, but I can't help it. My interior picture of
the station is totally inconsistent and nonsensical--sort of a Boston
T platform in which the "barrier" is actually the cinderblock wall at
the end of the platform, the bit that if you followed it around the
corner, you'd be walking right into the tunnel . . . I know, it
doesn't make any sense, since there is no platform on the other
side. Four Privet Drive looks like my childhood home in my head,
too, despite many bits about halls and fireplaces that make that
picture impossible.
