As far as I know we are never actually told what house Snape was in.  
My bet for Snape would be Slytherin. I just can't imagine him in any 
other house.  Hufflepuff?????  ^o^

I can't imagine that the 'gang of Slytherins' that Snape hung out 
with would be accepting of anyone in their little group that wasn't a 
Slytherin.  Especially a Gryffindor.  But hey, you never know!
