I've thought a lot about where the story should be,
like where the characters belong. I often think it
makes us hard to see where these characters belong
because JKR writes them so well. Quite frankly,
characters that are fully developed should exhibit
characteristics of all houses, it makes them more
realistic. Hagrid is loyal and hardworking but he's
also brave, a Gryffindor characterstic. Hermione may
be a really smart, but she works her ass off for those
grades. So she is a hardworker also, and very loyal
those are Hufflepuff characteristics. However, she is
very clever and logical which would indicate more
Ravenclaw. And she is brave, although, I don't think
she's as brave as many of the other characters, why
JKR chose Slytherin with those personalities for her I
don't understand. Harry and Ron seem like true
Gryffindors, I think this also goes with the idea that
they were planned from the beginning and hermione was
an added character later in the story development. It
is possible to have plotted out most of SS/PS and not
have Hermione be a part of it. And honestly I don't
think, judging by her saying that she was a lot like
Hermione that she would be Gryffindor, just a hunch on
that. You also see characters like Percy, who
strikingly resembles a slytherin (ambition) and a
RAvenclaw *everything else* but not really a
Gryffindor. Also, you have Cedric who obviously is
very brave, and loyal, and I suppose hardworking. So
I Mean he is a mixture of Hufflepuff/Gryffindor. It's
very hard to really understand all of this house
buisiness, I think the mystery will be revealed later.
I really don't understand it either..but oh well.
