I'm Impressed...

A friend of mine who just got back from Israel brought me the Hebrew version
of SS as a novelty item.  Of course, fool that I am, I decided to actually
try to read the thing.  I've studied Hebrew for six years, so it shouldn't
be so hard, but... it's such slow going!  I have to go sentence by sentence,
and check what I think the Hebrew said against my English version.  It took
over an hour for me to read half of the first chapter.  And this is when I
already know the story!

I just wanted all of you whose first language isn't English to know that I
have totally new (and huge) respect for your perseverance, dedication, and
sheer talent.  I really am thoroughly impressed by all of you.
