I think Harry would be wasted at Quidditch. I mean, he loves it,
he's great at it, and England would be thrilled to have him. But
that doesn't really answer the call of duty to which Harry responds
without fail throughout the series. Spending his life playing a
sport is, in my opinion, a waste. At least, not for the wizarding
world's Golden Boy. I think Harry is working at Hogwarts as well,
shaping the next generation of witches and wizards. Maybe not as
Snape's newest helper. I personally think he's going to be the most
stable DADA teacher in Hogwarts history. (Mind, I love dear Remus,
and he was an amazing DADA teacher, but lycanthropy doesn't equal
stability.) Who better to teach the little witches and wizards the
in and outs of surviving the Dark Arts than the wizarding world's
ultimate survivor himself? I'm sure he teaches flying now as well,
because I get the feeling that with him on campus, Madame Hooch would
be more than willing to hand over her whistle.
Perhaps Harry and the gang are planning a rolicking good time,
celebrating hard-won freedom, well-earned peace, and the much-
anticipated future yet to come. Lots of gags, courtesy of the Twins,
of course, and I'm sure too much to drink. Loud music, lots of
dancing and laughter, stories shared and future tales made. And I
think Harry will spend the entire evening with a ravishingly
beautiful red-head on his arm as well. There will be toasts, many
similar to the one spoken with such reverence in SS/PS: "To Harry
Potter, the Boy Who Lived." Only this boy is now a man, tempered by
war, and a symbol of the power of love against overwhelming odds.
