Yes they are - or at least they were when I was a child, so I assume 
they were when JKR would have watched them.  We did have Huckleberry 
Hound, so what you are saying is possible.

LOL!  Not in Harry Potter!  

I find these examples of Muggles which keep cropping up quite 
interesting.  It is quite possible that JKR and Nancy Stouffer 
thought that they were inventing the word, when in fact it was 
something that they had heard before and hadn't realised it.  Delving 
into the subconscious, unconsciously would have this effect!
