Well, with the crowd at the platform 9 3/4 they might not be
absolutely sure.

So could I! And so could my parents, they have unbelievably good
memory!
But, really, when I was usinig my mum's lipstick/shoes/handbags
without her knowledge (I did such things, I'm sorry to admit), or
when I "borrowed" my dad's beloved walkie-talkie to show it off to my
friends (sorry, dad!) I was making *sure* they wouldn't notice it
soon. I failed of course, but that's not the point. Neither Ron nor
Harry did try to cover it up. And it's one thing to get one's hands
on one's mum and dad's property, and quite another to help yourself
freely to one's friend's parents' things.

My point exactly [well, almost :)]. No Muggles saw them flying
broomsticks, and not a single Muggle saw Ron opening the truck with a
spell. Neither the Weasley twins nor Ron violated the section 13, so
there was no real reason for the Department wizards to go after them,
was it?

Who is still burning with shame when she racalls her mum crying
out: "Monika! Dear child, you look at least forty! That lipstick
doesn't suit your complexion and you're too tall to wear such high
heels!" It was 15 years ago, but it still hurts...
BTW, mum was right. They usually are, aren't they?
