Hi all,

I agree with those who said the Oedipal Harry article was an insult 
to Freud, a genius if there ever was one (even if he was sexist, 
heterosexist, and frequently wrong), and who is probably spinning in 
his grave because of this and other juvenile pseudo-applications of 
his theories.

Speaking for my sex, I'm very happy that people keep referring to the 
author as a man, but she was Ms. Kelly Noel-Smith.

Even Harry isn't tomfool enough to duel with fake wands in Snape's 
classroom.  Just McGonagall's.  So unless McGonagall shared this 
tidbit with Snape, it can't be on the list of Things He Hates About 
Harry.

A nitpicker need give no reason except "that's the way it is," but

Thanks, Catlady Rita, for explaining the Women's Institute joke.  It 
missed me entirely.

BTW, I nominate Salem as the location of the First International HP 
Convention; the Quidditch matches can be held at the Fitchburg 
Finches' stadium, which is very close by.
