Great point! Perhaps it will be Karkaroff who will return as a
turncoat. Ok, I don't believe that either.
I think Snape will go back to Voldie, but will have to "prove
himself" with some muggle torture, muggle killing, basically
something bad. I saw an episode of the TV show JAG (mmm ... yummy)
where a villian that Harm needed to thwart wasn't really into the
villian thing, but he was forced to prove himself to be a member of
the villians team by killing someone. (BTW, this episode takes place
in a hospital) Instead of actually killing someone, he shot a few
bullets into someone that was already dead, but the other villians
didn't know that the guy was already dead. The point of this story
you ask? Well, I could see Snape doing the same kind of thing. I do
wholeheartedly believe that he is one of the good guys, and going
back to Voldie is a HUGE risk. But in order to repay Dumbledore for
all his trust and faith in him, Snape will do it, and will torture
or "kill" perhaps a homeless muggle who has succumbed to the cold
winter or something like that to prove to VOldie that he is on his
side, when in fact he is a turncoat and firmly on the side of the
good guys.
