Yes, I get that Merlin feeling from Dumbledore, but if he were Merlin,
would he have been fooled by Crouch Jr for a whole year? Maybe part of a
being a great wizard or witch is putting on a convincing ACT of seeming
omniscient.

Yes, so do I. All these Great Wizards are the same.

I wish Yahoo Chat would let you in (I wish Yahoo Chat would stop
dropping my connection all the time) but your post was time-stamped 6:11
PST, at which time some of us lunatics were STILL in Chat - 6.11 PM for
me, 9.11 PM for East Coast USA, 2.11 AM for UK: usually they are not
still around by that time.

It's in CoS and it has been much discussed and no one has come up with a
good solution except to suppose that Ginny really meant to say PERCY and
either JKR or her proofreaders made an error...

Another mystery which mere readers have not yet solved, and
unfortunately JKR never chose it as one of the questions she would
answer when she did on-line chats... some people have suggested that
there were children in between but they were killed by Death Eaters, or
that there was a stretch of time in which Arthur or Molly was held
capture by bad guys or was in St. Mungo's recovering from what the bad
guys did.

No one knows what's going on and everyone is having the same problems.
The error messages I have gotten from ffnet all weekend look exactly the
same as the error messages I have gotten on previous occasions when
there were software bugs (a few times I got into the site but got the
error messages when I tried to go anywhere but the front page of Latest
Posted) so I am not scared.
