Hi everyone, and welcome new members,

There have been a few messages about ff.net creeping onto this list
recently. Harry Potter for Grownups is not associated with ff.net,
so this isn't really the place to discuss the functioning or
otherwise of that site. Our Announcements list could be used to
indicate a problem with ff.net, and our OT Chatter list could be used
for general grumbling. Otherwise, it's probably best to contact the
administrators of ff.net about any problems.

In general, on this list, messages relating to fanfiction that could
be linked to canon without the use of the word 'tenuous' (ahem)
require a prefix 'FF:' on the header. That allows those of us who
don't give a rat's patooty about fanfic to filter them into a
bottomless pit.*

Since I've waltzed in to say the above, I may as well issue a
reminder that the prefixes MOVIE: (for movie-related stuff) and SHIP:
(for shipping debates) are also in operation.

Thanks

Neil

*I don't know what a patooty is - it just sounded suitable.
