Oops - my bad!  True, Neville did not lose the list, but he did leave 
it lying around, and leaving passwords and other "classified" 
information lying around is not the smartest thing to do, especially 
when the entire schooll believe that Sirius was extremely dangerous 
and was lurking around Gryffindor in particular.  I still think 
Neville caused trouble, but like I said, he absolutely did not mean 
to.
