NO I never thought that Hagrid belonged in Slytherin..i find the idea of it humorous.  However, I thought there was a point where I could see Ron almost in Slytherin..except that he doesn't mind befriending mudbloods and his family is definitely different than Slytherin.  But his ambitions and his desire for money...and of course his legendary temper.  It is those traits that make me wonder about him in Slytherin.  However, I think that JKR paid a lot of attention to what characters belong where.
