I'm tempted to call it "The Oz Principle", since the Oz books seems
to be one of the few fantasy universes in which Magic and 20th
century technology has been allowed to peacefully co-exist, but I'm
sure there are better possible names.

And for the record, it was Arthur C. Clarke who said it.
