I like your idea...I'd forgotten that ploy. I think I tried it once
or twice when I was 4 or 5. It didn't work for me, so I guess I forgot
about it LOL.

I will not (!) tell my husband about borage, I have some in the herb
garden, and I don't want it used in experiments LOL. But, but,
but (LOL), doesn't the restriction on underage magic applies to
undirected magic like blowing up Aunt Marge, not just wand magic, and
they had to put an engorgement charm or potion to the toffee at some
point.
I want to meet Lily's friends also. I wonder why they haven't come
out of the woodwork yet. I can understand if a friend tried to get in
touch with the Dursleys after Harry came to them, and the Dursleys
rebuffed 'em; but after Hagrid's photo project, I was surprised that
Harry didn't get a least a note from *one* of Lily's friends (or
James' friends for that matter, but now we know why).
