I was named after Melanie in "Gone with the Wind."  My mom read the book before she saw the movie..and my daddy too.  They both thought that Melanie was a sweet character, loved the name, and hoped I'd be like that.  I think they made the right choice I love her character *g*  However, in Harry Potter I kind of like the Hermione honestly or Ginny. I"ve always love Guinevere or Virgina..those names are beautiful.
