Nope. Pig is male and Hedwig female (or male if you remember that mistype from
me nearly a year ago).

In GoF chapter 5 Ron says, 'Ginny named him [Pig].'

PS chapter 5, '... a beautiful snowy owl, fast asleep with her head under her
wing.'
