<< I just love JKR's play on words. The ones in the spells/charms are more
obvious. I was thinking more along the lines of "Slytherin" which immediately
makes one think of a snake that slithers in. I also noticed this in
"Gringotts" "gold ingots". I know there are more. Has this been discussed
before? If not, are there any other words like this that others have noticed?

Such as Remus Lupin...Remus-the name of the twin of Romulus (founder of Rome)
who where both raised by a wolf. Lupin- from the latin word Lupus- meaning
wolf. Lupine-wolfish.

Sirius Black- (this is pretty much what I think it means) Sirius-the
brightest star in the sky (aka the DOG star) note the word DOG? Black- I'm
thinking that this would be in reference to Azkaban, but I'm sure there just
might be a hidden meaning JKR will get to.
