Cassie set this up JUST so I could make my happy little D/H (no, not
that D?H, although I think there's subtext for that as well) argument
that Draco & Hermione really have potential.
We, the readers, have little to know idea of what Hermione or Draco do
when they're not hanging out with (for the former) or hanging out near
(for the latter) Harry.
For all we, the readers, know, they've had a regular study date in the
library twice a week for the last two books, or spent a morning together
in Hogsmeade during third year, when she wasn't speaking to Ron or
Harry, and perhaps he's the one who introduced her to Krum...
Maybe we'll find out in book 5...
