I suspect he already knows, and does have a contract out on Snape
at the moment. However, I also suspect that means that
Dumbledore was NOT sending Snape to contact Voldemort at the end
of Book IV. I liked the idea someone came up with that Snape was
the contact for some =other= double agents, and was going to see
what he could do about activating that network again. That's
probably sufficiently dangerous if he couldn't be sure of these
people's current loyalties, or whether V. had an eye on them too!
