Well, what I meant by "his own" was Voldy's own powers, not Harry's.
On the other hand, your suggestion seems reasonable to me, too. I
still feel, though, that this connection will prove to be Voldy's
downfall through his (Voldy's) actions. That is, it doesn't give
Harry power to destroy Voldy, but if Voldy tries to kill him the
connection will somehow channel the curse back to him. It's not
origianl the way I put it (it's exactly like the first curse) but I'm
sure JKR will make so.
