Several people were wondering why certain beasts were left out 
of "Fanastic Beasts" ... JKR has mentioned that she had all of 
these "other beasts" in her head, that she had not written about in 
the HP books and that "Fantastic Beasts" gave her the perfect 
opportunity to put them down on paper. So, it makes sense that she 
did not include all of the ones we know about from the books. 
(although, I do wish that she had included them. It would have made 
the book more complete & realistic, given that Hermione used them for 
reference books)
