I also pronounce Knut with a "K". However, when Daniel Radcliffe 
presented the cheque on Comic Relief last Friday he pronounced it 
with a silent K - i.e. "nut". 

Lots of "kn" words in English are pronounced with a silent k (eg 
knight, knife, knot etc.) so I suppose the k in "knut" and "kneazle" 
should be silent too...but I have to say I prefer the sound of "knut" 
with a sounded "k"!
