Yeah, and it makes sense that one statement is more trustworthy than 
the other.  "You-Know-Who was in Slytherin" is the kind of 
straightforward, factual statement that we have no reason to doubt.  
"All the wizards who ever went bad were in Slytherin" sounds like a 
generalization, and it's therefore not surprising if it's not 100% 
accurate.
