emperius curse and LordOf The Rings

I sent this to several groups and some of them may consider it off
topic.  An advance apology to them if they consider it off.
Last week I was at home for Spring Break and I read Harry Potter and the
Goblet of Fire and The Lord of the Rings.  While I was reading Lord of
the Rings, a thought crossed my mind that related to GoF.  If the
emperius curse had existed in Tolkien's world, which characters would
have been most and least likely to resist it?  That is, which characters
would be most likely to be controled by the emperius curse and which
would be most likely to resist it?
