Why didn't Harry get an award?

I'm a bit late in responding to some substantive posts but better late
than never ...

But, Harry and Ron wouldn't have known it was a basilisk in the Chamber
if they hadn't found that book entry in her hand (btw, I agree
wholeheartedly with Pippin that ripping a page out of a book sounds very
un-Hermione-ish to me!).  They wouldn't have been prepared at all for
what was down there.  IMO, Hermione's role in the end result was
indispensable, and she deserved an award too.  Harry should have
received more points than either Hermione or Ron ... but I would say
that Hermione deserved points & an award.  :--)
