I have always thought this was the case and that Professor
Trelawney's first accurate prediction (made around the time of
Harry's birth) was that Harry would be the cause of Voldy's downfall.
While my predictions made previous to GoF for what JKR was up to were
totally wrong, this is one that I am convinced of. I would even bet
10 gold galleons on it.
