Actually I meant common-or-garden rich. It's entirely possible
(at least at some times/places) to have an independent =income=
that doesn't make you =wealthy.= Inherited money, say, invested
in the Funds, but not actually providing more than a modest
yearly income. Or even a wretched yearly income, but it =is= an
income, you can get by, and by golly you have your Family Pride
and none of the Family has =ever= had to go into *shudder* TRADE.
After all, we =are= talking about English wizards.
