	He doesn't ignore Ginny's distress. He notices she's looking pale 
(and bullies her into taking Pepperup Potion), that she's been crying, 
and that she's been having nightmares. (COS ch's 8,9,and 11). He's 
wrong about the cause, of course, but so is everyone else. And I don't 
think he was at all wrong to take points from Ron for talking back to 
him in the presence of another student.
