I don't think he's a vampire. Wizards don't seem to care much for them. 
I think he'd have left Lupin alone in PoA instead of making sure 
everyone knew he was a ::gasp:: werewolf.  You know, the pot calling 
the kettle...

I think, though, that Snape doesn't find out the SB is an Animagus 
until GoF.  Had he known, considering that he thinks SB's a criminal, 
he would have told the authorities -- and what better way to get rid 
of/even with Lupin than to alert the authorities that he aided/abetted 
by his silence.
I'm not saying that Snape isn't an Animagus (maybe Hermione overlooked 
his registration, or he's not registered). I just don't think it 
influenced his feelings towards MWPP because he didn't know about them.
