Maybe Snape wanted to finish school, too? Even as a Death Eater
you should have some magical education. I also think that Dumbledore
has a distinct method to teach his students, he wouldn't menace
to punish them but rather give one of his wise advices that will
even make people like Snape keep their word. On the other hand
I think that Snape absolutely does have some sort of honor, and
I believe that he wouldn't break his word. It is true that I don't like
him, but I recognize that he has some undeniable qualities. And
don't forget that he is obsessed with rules, so he won't break them.
