I agree.  Ron is not only ambitious, but he's tired of being Harry's 
shadow and he's tired of being poor (both emphasized in GoF).  Gred & 
Forge at least see a possibility for making their own money (the joke 
shop & props).  Ron sees that "everything he owns is rubbish" (not sure 
of the exact quote, but says something along similar lines several 
times during GoF.  I'm not saying that he would go evil for money. I do 
believe, though, that if an opportunity to get money came along that 
didn't "seem" like it would hurt anybody -- Ron could be used.  Add 
that to the Imperius curse, and he's really vulnerable.
