Me too. At this point, I'm just waiting for book five. And if JKR 
doesn't explain in that one, I will whack my head against the wall a 
couple of times ^_^.

Though nothing in the book *says* what it is Snape is doing. We can 
only draw the conclusion that 
a)Dumbledore wants to keep it under wraps. 
b)They've planned this out before. 
c)It makes Snape nervous, as he blanches. 
d)Whatever it is, it didn't take that long, as we hear nothing about 
Snape being absent for his classes or whatever. 

I kind of hope it is something we haven't thought of, though. 
Although the double agent stuff would promise to be interesting. 

If Snape is so far the most mysterious/intriguing character, who is 
the second most?
