As far as we know she doesn't know. Ron seems to, though there's no
mention of Harry telling anyone at all. (The crush starts in PoA,
BTW).

Gosh, Kimberly, your post sounded so forlorn that I wanted to join
your ship just to cheer you up. But don't be discouraged by the lack
of evidence. It hasn't stopped the McGonagall is Hermione's Mentor
crowd *ducks*. (Oh hell, who am I to throw stones? I'm still holding
out for Harry/Draco!)
Jim: love your Ginny affirmation! (Do ships have cheerleading
squads?) And even though I'm not an H/Ger, I give a big "me too" to
Carole on her supposed quietness and the unfair generalizations from
quietness. Cassie, "boring wimp" is definitely a harsh judgment on
someone who you then go on to say we don't know well enough to judge.

Harry has to fall in love with a Weasley because his mother had red
hair? Well, there are 9 of them, 7 unmarried. Maybe he'll go for
Charlie--they have that dragon thing going for them.
On the other hand, I have red hair, so it's quite an exciting prospect
for me. All I have to do is Apparate over to Harry (anyone know where
he's living nowadays?) and he'll fall head over heels. Do y'all think
32 is too old for 20? Mmmm . . . I was afraid you'd say that.

Thanks. Flattery will not release you from having to give evidence .
. . though having 2 weeks 'til delivery might. I would really like to
know what you think we know about Bill. Seems friendly; like Molly,
unhesitatingly supports Dumbledore and jumps into the fray; breaks
curses for a living, wears unstodgy clothing; was a good student; what
else?

I agree that Harry is already, and will stay, a member of the Weasley
family without dating or marrying any Weasleys, but I don't agree that
dating Ginny would ruin his relationship with Molly and Arthur. He
wouldn't go to them for advice about her (he could go to Sirius), but
otherwise their surrogate mom/dad status would be unchanged, or even
intensify. I used to go out with a man I'd been friends with for
years, and his mom was a real mom-type to me before we got together
and then right on through the romance. It was very nice.
If Harry stomped on Ginny's heart, that might well damage his
relationship with A & M, but Sweet Harry wouldn't do such a thing, now
would he?
The expanding-family thing goes for anyone, of course. The Weasley
family will warmly take in just about anyone who gets involved with
the kids. (Draco might be pushing it.)
