Well, I'm not sure you need to have watched Dr. Who (though it does help
you get wacky references to Daleks), but I think your point is just "What
if Diagon alley really didn't take up any space at all, through magic".
If you like to play role-playing games, think of it like a dimensional
pocket or a bag of holding or something.
