I promise not to jump on you. I remember this scene has already been 
mentioned, by you and by others. I'd agree with Penny's 
interpretation of it "Then, we have Ginny's one shining moment in the 
pre-Yule Ball scene." I also think of it as her one shining moment 
and it gives me a glimmer of hope for her in the future. I don't 
really think of it as a telling-Harry-where-to-get-off scene; she's 
being a little feisty, towards him and Ron, but I doubt she would 
have said anything if it had been just Harry there, and she hadn't 
been semi-exasperated with Ron about his general attitude about the 
Ball. It's a nice little moment, but I was thinking of something 
larger-scale, something that would show she's outgrown her hero-
worshipping infatuation with Harry; IMHO, that scene doesn't quite 
show that. But it certainly is a jump-off point for hopes for the 
future.

And I already took back the boring wimp comment! Peace! Pax!
