I, too, like the small school idea. It fits in with the banquets and the
classes - all of the Gryffindor 1st years in one class together would make
sense. Also, Hogwarts is supposed to be for the most promising witches and
wizards. A small school would be ideal. But at the same time, why would
JKR say there's about 1000 students? Hmmmm.....
