This may be slightly OT.  If it is, sorry, but I think it does 
illustrate a point Amy Z made.  

My parents were married when he was 18 and she was 17.  There was a 
small thing called World War II going on (this was in 1942).  Yes, 
they were wildly in love (& stayed so until my dad died 4 years ago) 
and because of the war, they didn't want to wait.  Maybe the same 
held true for Lily & James.  Perspectives change when there's a war 
on.
