I hope so too!  Although you may be right about
Dumbledore, in a kind of Obi-Wan Kenobi way.  But the
character I think has the biggest target on him is
literally the biggest character: Hagrid.  He's already
been shown to be surprisingly vulnerable: Riddle
framed him when he was a kid, he couldn't hold it
together at Buckbeak's trial, he was sent to Azkaban
again because of the Chamber of Secrets being
reopened...

Plus, Harry, Ron and Hermione would be galvanized by
the loss of Hagrid.  It would surely mean a turn in
the coming war.

Another possible loss might be one of the Weasleys.  I
mean, the family is so huge, how could they not lose
someone in a war?  My money is on one of the twins,
leaving the survivor feeling like a part of him was
forever missing...
