Passages such as this, from Chap 14 of PS/SS, "Professor McGonagall,
in a tartan bathrobe and a hair net, had Malfoy by the ear" suggest
that the some of the professors who head up a house might have their
living quarters in their respective house. That would mean that Snape
resides somewhere in Slytherin House rather than adjacent his office.
