[re: The Gender Classification Debate]
Quite a few of us on the list have had the pleasure of reading "The Wild
Swans", by fellow listee and published author Peg Kerr. (Read it! Read it!)
Someone (I think it was Carole) even started an eGroup to discuss it, and we
got around to chatting about the cover (which shows a woman and is, IMO,
quite "feminine") and the reactions of the men on the list to it. Despite
the fact that there's one male hero and one female heroine in the two
concurrent stories which entwine in the book, the cover seemed to be aimed
at women. I, however, really enjoyed it and was very moved by the whole
book. Highly recommended.
Has anyone else seen this with books you're familiar with?
